Chinese automotive production grows strongly in January
Chinese automotive production went up 13.6% year-on-year but down -11.6% month-on-month in January to 2.688 million vehicles, according to the China Association of Automotive Manufacturers (CAAM).
The growth was mainly the result of increased working days this year due to the later Lunar New Year. CAAM notes that total production numbers over January to February will more clearly illustrate the automotive production trend this year.
