Chinese auto production decline accelerates in August
Chinese automobile production kept falling for the third consecutive month in August, declining at a faster rate than in July, according to data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufactures (CAAM).
Production was down 7.4% from July to 1.73 million units, also representing a decrease of 18.7% year-on-year, Kallanish learns. Total production over January-August was therefore boosted to 16.17m units, up 11.9% on-year.
