Chinese wire rod export price stabilises
China's wire rod export market has remained stable this week, with market confidence nevertheless falling after the two sessions, Kallanish notes.
On Thursday, 6.5mm diameter mesh-grade wire rod was assessed at $440/tonne fob China, unchanged week-on-week.
Steel mills in northern China kept their export offers at $450/t fob China, same as last week. However, the prices offered by some traders show that levels can drop by another $10/t to $440/t fob China…
