China’s steel pipe demand to reach 80mt
Demand in China’s steel pipe market is expected to increase slightly this year, to about 80 million tonnes, reports suggest. This takes into consideration the domestic economic recovery and increase in downstream steel demand, Kallanish notes.
Demand for seamless steel pipe would be about 30mt, while demand for welded pipe is about 50mt, according to forecasts by China Metallurgical News.
