China's steel imports and exports fall in August
China's steel exports continued to decline last month, according to August import and export data released by Chinese Customs. Although imports increased year-on-year, they fell from July, Kallanish notes.
In August China exported 3.678 million tonnes of finished steel, a decrease of -11.93% from the previous month and a year-on-year decrease of -26.6%. This brings China's steel exports from January to August to 36.557mt, a year-on-year decrease of -18.6%.…
