China's shipbuilding completions return to peak in June
China's shipbuilding completions returned to this year's high in June, leading to a year-on-year increase in the total for the first half of 2023.
According to the China Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry (CANSI), shipbuilding completions in China reached 21.13 million deadweight tonnes in January-June, up by 14.2% y-o-y. Completions in June only were 4.66m dwt, 27% higher compared than the 3.67m dwt completed in May.
