China's scrap prices increase on less supply
China's scrap market rose slightly last week. Arrivals and consumption have both declined due to production restriction policies.
On Friday, Kallanish assessed Chinese 6mm+ heavy scrap delivered to mills in eastern China's Yangtze River Delta at CNY 3,748/tonne ($579/t) including VAT. This is stable from Thursday and up CNY 11/t compared with the previous Friday.
