China's scrap gains with less supply
China's steel scrap prices showed mixed regional ups and downs last week, and the slower pace of market shipments supported prices.
On Friday, Kallanish assessed 6mm+ heavy scrap delivered to mills in eastern China's Yangtze River Delta at CNY 2,843/tonne ($392/t), including VAT. This is CNY 2/t higher from Thursday and up CNY 8/t from the previous Friday.
