China's scrap declines on less demand
China's scrap market suffered from weak demand due to power curtailments over the last week. Prices fell slightly on-week as a result.
On Friday, Kallanish assessed Chinese 6mm+ heavy scrap delivered to mills in eastern China's Yangtze River Delta at CNY 3,791/tonne ($587/t) including VAT. This is CNY 2/t higher from Thursday but CNY 11/t lower compared with the previous Friday.
