Chinese rebar remains stable, market stagnates

The Chinese rebar market has entered a winter rest period, with traders reducing market purchases to a minimum by last Friday, Kallanish notes. In Shanghai on Friday afternoon, 20mm HRB400 rebar was trading at CNY 4,200-4,220/tonne ($651-654/t), unchanged from the previous week.
