China's rebar jumps on declining inventory

China's rebar prices recovered strongly last week, with some restking ahead of the Spring Festival, causing a decline in for-sale inventories, Kallanish notes. In Shanghai on Friday afternoon, 20mm HRB400 rebar was trading at CNY 4,720-4,740/tonne ($741-744/t), up by CNY 100/t from the previous Friday.
