China's rebar falls on sluggish demand

Chinese rebar prices continued to decline last week with weakend demand and funds in flight from futures markets, Kallanish notes. In Shanghai on Friday afternoon, 20mm HRB400 rebar was trading at CNY 5,040-5,060/tonne ($788-791/t), down CNY 260/t from the previous Friday.
