China’s passenger car sales face headwinds in June
Domestic retail sales of passenger cars, which account for the vast majority of auto sales in China, declined year-on-year in June, although sales rebounded slightly month-on-month, according to data released by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).
Despite a m-o-m increase of 3.2%, sales in June slumped 6.7% from a year earlier to 1.77 million vehicles, Kallanish notes. The y-o-y decline expanded further from May’s 1.9%.
