China’s October steel exports slip again, imports hike
China’s steel exports slipped again month-on-month in October, while imports started to edge up after one month of stability. The trends are exactly the opposite on a year-on-year basis, according to data from the General Administration of Customs.
October exports of Chinese finished steel came to nearly 7.94 million tonnes, slipping 1.5% m-o-m but sill surging 53.1% y-o-y, Kallanish notes.
Over ten months, China exported 74.73mt of steel, up 34.8% on-year.…
