China’s MEP finds steelmakers faking capacity cuts
China's environmental authorities have discovered local officials helping steel plants to supply fake steel capacity elimination certification, Kallanish notes. Some capacity which was listed as eliminated last year was found to be still producing in February, according to the Ministry of Environmental Protection (MEP).
