China’s July steel cross-border trade shifts slightly
China’s July finished steel exports continued to drop slightly compared with the prior month, while imports rose. Year-to-date volumes however still showed the opposite trend on a year-on-year basis, according to data from the General Administration of Customs.
In July, China exported 7.31 million tonnes of finished steel, dropping for the second month in a row, by 2.7%. Exports had hit an 80-month high in May, Kallanish notes. This took y-t-d exports to 50.…
