Paperwork stalls China's Indonesian rail project
A Chinese-led project to build Southeast Asia’s first high-speed railway linking Jakarta to Bandung in Indonesia has been temporarily suspended after documents in support of a permit application were not filed, local media report. The project is meant to be a key part of wider Chinese investment in Southeast Asian infrastructure which would fuel steel demand, Kallanish notes.
