China's EAF steelmaking stalls
China's electric arc furnace (EAF) companies producing construction steel remain largely closed due to delayed resumption of work, Kallanish notes. Market research data shows that of the 71 EAF steel plants participating in the survey, only 3 steelmakers in eastern China are in production.
