China's crude steel output fell 9% in July
China's crude steel production experienced a sharp decline in July, according to the latest data from the National Bureau of Statistics released on 15 August. This also means that the production cuts of steel mills last month made a significant contribution to easing supply pressure, and this trend may continue in August due to the extended maintenance of steel mills, Kallanish notes.
