China's coke and coking coal prices drop
Chinese steelmakers have asked for the second round of price cuts for coke since last Wednesday just after the first cut was realised last Monday 29 July due to deteriorating steelmaking margins. The domestic coking coal price followed the trend as coking coal failed to find sufficient buyers at auctions. Cheap Australian and American coking coal added pressure to the domestic market.
