Bengang and Angang to merge in late 2016?
Anshan Iron and Steel (Angang) and Benxi Iron and Steel (Bengang) may be the next target for a merger. An official announcement about this might be made by the end of the year, according to Chi Jingdong, deputy head of the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA). The two steelmakers have yet to confirm the comments themselves however and have already gone through one failed merger attempt, Kallanish notes.
