China’s automotive steel demand continues to grow
China’s automotive production remained strong over the past nine months, according to the latest figures from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM). Implied finished steel demand topped 30 million tonnes year-to-date, putting automotive on track to be one of the best performing steel demand sectors of 2016, Kallanish notes.
