China’s auto industry suffers in January
Both production and sales of China’s auto industry suffered a severe setback in January due to holidays and the cancellation of some subsidy policies, even for the rising new energy vehicles (NEVs), Kallanish notes.
In January this year, Chinese auto production slumped 33.1% on-month and 34.3% on-year to 1.59 million units, according to the China Association of Automotive Manufacturers (CAAM).
