China’s August auto production holds firm
In August this year, China’s automotive output continued to grow year-on-year. However, power shortages and sporadic Covid outbreaks have pushed monthly output slightly lower than July, Kallanish observes.
Chinese car manufacturers produced 2.395 million vehicles in August, down 2.4% on-month but a y-o-y growth of 38.3%, the largest growth rate registered year-to-date.
