China updates steel company whitelist
China's Ministry of Industry & Information Technology (MIIT) announced on 1 March it has added 13 steel companies to its whitelist whilst 7 steelmakers have been removed. 13 steel companies have also been warned on environmental issues and 22 have changed their registered equipment or company names, Kallanish notes.
