China to increase capacity replacement ratio
According to China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), China aims to make some changes to capacity replacement measures, including increasing the replacement ratio. This will favour electric arc furnace capacity expansion, while providing a framework to force a reduction in overall capacity in the coming years, Kallanish notes.
