China Steel Corporation produces 'emissions-free' steel
China Steel Corporation (CSC) has produced Taiwan’s first batch of “carbon emissions-free” steel, which was recently verified by the British Standards Institution (BSI), the steelmaker says.
The batch comprised 150 tonnes of wire rod. CSC conducted the whole procedure, from crude steelmaking to wire rolling, in compliance with the internationally recognised specification for carbon neutrality set by BSI (PAS 2060), Kallanish notes.
