China clears barrier to scrap imports
China's Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the Ministry of Commerce, the National Development and Reform Commission and the General Administration of Customs issued a joint statement on 25 November, stating that the import of solid waste, including scrap steel, will be prohibited in any way since 1 January, 2021.
