China continues to invest in steelmaking in Brazil
China’s Zhonghuan International Trade Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Brazilian government on 13 May to build a steelmaking industrial park in the South American country, Kallanish notes.
The new park will be located in Bahia state in Brazil, and will use local resources. It is intended that as well as developing the regional usage of local raw materials, the investment will help to build local industrial supply chains.
