China releases seventh batch of waste import quotas
China's Solid Waste and Chemicals Management Centre has released the seventh batch of scrap import quotas for 2020. Only one company has received an import quota for ferrous scrap of 310 tonnes, Kallanish notes.
In addition to the three batches previously reported, the last four batches released saw 5,690 tonnes of ferrous scrap import quotas approved. This also pushed the 2020 approved quotas up to 11,540 tonnes in total.
