China opens ferrous futures to foreign institutional investors
With the approval of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, the Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) has opened transactions in iron ore futures and options contracts to qualified foreign institutional investors (QFII) and RMB QFII (RQFII) on 2 September.
On the same day, the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) also ended transaction restrictions on rebar and hot rolled coil futures contracts to the same organisations, Kallanish notes.
