China leads Turkey's August welded pipe imports surge
Turkey's welded pipe imports surged 137.7% year-on-year to 22,386 tonnes in August, driven by the rebound of intake from China, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
The total average value/tonne of these imports decreased to $1,323/tonne from $1,724/t a year ago, calculations from TUIK data show.
In July, Turkey's welded pipe intake slumped to 7,752t y-o-y as imports from China plunged.
