China issues policy to support steel industry
Seven Chinese official departments, including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, jointly released the "Work Plan for Steady Growth of the Iron and Steel Industry" on 25 August.
The implementation period of the plan is from 2023 to 2024, and the main purpose is to stabilise the operation of the steel industry under the current trend of sluggish demand and declining investment confidence, Kallanish notes.
