China introduces uncertainty in electrode market
China remains a wildcard for the graphite electrode market moving forward, according to Energroprom strategic marketing head Kirill Zhilyaev.
Chinese statistics regarding electric arc furnace production are notoriously unreliable – even historical figures, Zhilyaev told delegates to the Kallanish Asia Steel & Raw Materials Trade Summit 2018 on Friday in Singapore.
