China, India drive steel output growth in October
Global crude steel production grew 3.3% on-year in October to 136.52 million tonnes, propelled by China and India, Kallanish learns from worldsteel.
Chinese output rose 4% to 68.51mt, while India reported 12.3% growth to 8.27mt. Japanese production inched up 0.6% to 9.06mt, but South Korean output fell -2% to 5.96mt.
In the EU, German crude steel production in October fell -3.7% on-year to 3.51mt, but Italian and French output grew 11.4% and 12.8% respectivel…
