China increase offsets global steel March output decline
Global crude steel production for the 66 countries reporting to the World Steel Association inched down -0.5% on-year in March to 137.3 million tonnes, Kallanish learns from worldsteel.
China’s output increased 2.9% on-year to 70.65mt in March, while India’s rose 3.4% to 8.06mt. Japan’s declined -6.8% to 8.65mt.
