China to launch wide-spread environmental inspections in April
China’s Ministry of Environment of Protection (MEP) is sending inspection groups to 15 provinces to investigate the implementation of waste emission approval systems, according to the Economic Observer. MEP sent two batches of inspection groups to 15 provinces in 2016, forcing restrictions on local steel production and processing, Kallanish notes.
