China to force closure of small coal mines
The National Development and Reform Commission said on 6 May that China is to improve the elimination of backwards coal production capacity. The number of coal mines with production of up to 300,000 tonnes/year will be reduced to under 800 by the end of 2021, Kallanish notes.
