China nickel ore import growth continues in June
Chinese nickel ore imports soared 31.33% on-month to 4.84 million tonnes in June, extending the steady growth seen over the first five months. However, year-on-year growth slowed from 118.85% in May to 38.05%, Kallanish notes.
Imports in the first half of 2021 came to 16.48mt, up 32.9% y-o-y, but this was still lower than H1 2019.
