China drives Turkey's July welded pipe imports plunge
Turkey's welded pipe imports dropped -72% year-on-year to 7,752 tonnes in July as intake from China slumped, according to the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
The total average value/tonne of these imports increased to $1,746/t from $1,398/t a year ago, Kallanish calculates from TUIK data.
Italy replaced China as Turkey's largest welded pipe supplier in July, although its shipments declined -36.9% y-o-y to 1,882t.
