China details capacity reduction plans
China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has continued to tout its target of 100-150 million tonnes/year of capacity reductions by 2020. An official from the ministry noted nine methods by which to achieve this target on Friday, but this did nothing to dispel fears that the targets would have an underwhelming impact, Kallanish notes.
