China demand drives Indian billet export surge
Indian semi-finished product exports, the majority of which were billet, surged 64% on-year in April to 301,311 tonnes, Kallanish learns from Indian commerce ministry provisional data. The average value of HS code 720719 billet exports was $361/tonne versus $461/t in April 2019.
