China completes $80 billion railway investment
China has completed CNY 539.3 billion ($79.81 billion) in railway projects investment over the last three quarters, an increase of 9.4% year-on-year, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). The implied steel demand is around 17.63 million tonnes, Kallanish calculates.
