China to collect environment protection tax on steel
China’s draft Environmental Protection Tax Law is being handed over to the standing committee of China’s National People’s Congress (NPC) this week. The use of environmental taxes in place of the current pollution charges draft law had its first review earlier this year (see Kallanish 30 August).
