China to build more railways over 2017-2020
China aims to have 150,000 kilometres of railways in use before the end of 2020, and 30,000km of this should be high speed railway lines. There is still a 26,000km shortfall – as of the end of 2016 the total commissioned railway length was 124,000km, Kallanish notes.
