China bans Australian coal imports ''indefinitely''
The conflict between China and Australia continues to intensify over the coal import ban. Reports suggest that China's National Development and Reform Commission and dozens of power plants reached an agreement last week that Australian coal imports will be stopped indefinitely.
This also means that China will need to increase imports from countries such as Mongolia, Indonesia and Russia, Kallanish notes.
