China announces steel sector winter restriction plan
China’s industry and information technology, and ecology and environment ministries have officially announced the 2021-2022 winter restriction plan for steel mills in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei (Jingjinji) and its surrounding “2+26 cities”, Kallanish notes. The local governments of eight key steel-producing cities in Shandong must also adhere to this policy.
