China and Germany cooperate on high-speed railways
China and Germany signed a joint statement following the fourth round of Sino-German consultations during chancellor Angela Merkel's visit to China this week. The statement included possible cooperation on high-speed railway building projects in China, Europe and third countries, and investment in several manufacturing projects which may increase Chinese steel demand, Kallanish notes.
