China adds US scrap to tariff list
China’s updated list of retaliatory tariffs now includes US ferrous scrap, Kallanish reports.
The revised list, issued by China on Wednesday, also includes: copper, nickel, aluminium, lead, zinc, and other base metals.
The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) says scrap tariffs will not be levied on other countries, but demand in China may exceed foreign supply.
