Chile's steel consumption moves towards record in 2021
Chilean steel consumption should grow almost 28% year-on-year in 2021, says national steel institute ICHA. Shipments from local mills to the domestic market are set to increase, but higher steel prices continue encouraging imports, the institute says in its outlook monitored by Kallanish. If demand is maintained, consumption could reach a record level in 2021.
